Hi! My name is Julie Russell, and I am the owner and operator of A Visual Impact Hair Studio. We have 3 Experienced and Motivated Stylists at your service!
My Beauty Salon was born on October 2, 2001, in a tiny room in the back of a women’s only gym, "The Fitness Network." Nine months later, in June of 2002, I expanded the Salon and added another stylist. We moved and expanded the Salon in March of 2005, increasing our Stations to four; From March till June 2009 our Salon underwent a complete remodel after a devastating fire next door. I increased our stations to a total of 8 and a really nice break/classroom area for our stylists. We are so happy with the new clean and fresh look.
A Visual Impact is a Salon full of Seasoned Stylists holding over 60 years of combined service under their belts! We believe Beauty is an Art, We love our jobs, and are so blessed!
It can certainly be A Visual Impact when you get a new style, whether it be curls, color, or a new cut, thus A Visual Impact was born, and created taking Baby steps. Something that people do not know about the name of the Salon is: It was a Visual Impact on my husband that brought me to Crystal City. His sight was diminishing due to his Diabetes and so I felt the need to work closer to home. My husband Don passed away in April of 2005.
Our Salon is Open Tuesday thru Saturday. We start at 9AM and close when the last appointment is completely happy. When you call you will either speak to one of our staff, or our voicemail system, that will direct you to our main mailbox. Should you call during business hours and get our voicemail, it is more than likely because both of our phone lines were active when you called. Please leave a message or call back, whichever is more convenient for you.

Julie graduated from The American School of Cosmetology; has been a Licensed Cosmetologist for over 20 yrs, She holds her Missouri Licenses for Hair, Skin and Nails. District Manager and Hair Show Coordinator for Tressa, Inc. for 4 years. Julie is on the Tressa's Education Team for 15 years now and was promoted in February 2007 to Key Market Trainer. She has owned and operated A Visual Impact Hair Studio for 10 years.
Julie uses primarily Tressa products, but also uses Framesi, Redken, Matrix, Kenra, Nioxin, and Crew. She believes we all learn something new every day, and is adamant about continuing education. It is of vital importance in the beauty industry with continual changes in fashion and lifestyles.
She specializes in men's haircutting, facial hair, blending gray hair for a professional, and more youthful, natural look, as well as creating the total look for women as well, including make-up make-overs.

Dianna Boyer

Dianna is a People Pleaser. She has been in the beauty industry for numerous years. She specializes in precision haircutting, and also is excellent at creative styling.
She pays close attention to detail along with making sure she and her client are on the same page before performing any hair service. Excellent condition of the hair is important to her and she offers additional services for conditioning the hair.
Dianna is wonderful with Natural Curly hair, since she has a great head of it herself. She uses Redken, Tressa, and Matrix products. She holds a trophy from a competition, and enjoys creating new looks in any hair length.

Angie has 20 plus years experience. She specializes in creating customized looks for her clients' lifestyles, using Redken, Tressa, and Matrix products. She holds awards from competitions and has been a platform designer on-stage for fashion shows. Angie is outgoing and thinks outside the box, which results in positive creativity for her clients.
